To enhance a charming, wooded park outside of Newberry, SC, Capitol constructed four engineered contact aluminum arch bridges. These bridge were engineered to hold up against commercial truck traffic while allowing the streams below to flow without disruption. Since these bridges were constructed in a historical state park, there was much care given to the natural appearance of the structures, particularly to the hand-selected natural Tennessee Gray Boulders used for the bridges’ facades. The project engineers and park managers were pleased, not only with the results of the work, but with our commitment to keeping the park clean, safe, and unscathed by heavy equipment.
